A Morning with Emma
This morning as I lay in bed listening to Mason arouse from his slumber I decided that I was going to take Emma to the pool to give her a little more time to practice her swimming before her new swimming lessons started tonight. During the last set of classes she passed all of her required swimming tecniques except the combined backstroke where you kick with your legs and use your arms at the same time. So I woke her up and the second her head came off the pillow her mouth was moving a mile a minute with all sorts of questions of various topics. I finally got her to be quiet so I could tell her that we are going swimming and that she needed to get her swimming suite on!!! She is so much a morning person and I have no idea where that trait came from! :) We got to the pool and started working and she swam the length of the pool about 8-10 times and then we worked on little things and did some short swims to the middle of the pool and back. I think that she will be ready for the level III class now...at least I am hopeing they will let her, she worked so hard to do it right. :) I enjoyed my time with her so much and it was nice that it was just the two of us for an hour. When we were finished I took her to the coffee shop and we sipped our tea and shared half a bagel for about 7 minutes until we had to rush out the door to get home so Chad could get to work in time. I look forward to more of those moments, the little things that I can do with each of my children even if it is just a moment. I promised Madison that I would take her as well at another time....

You are such a good mommy. I know we do some things different and I am way too verbal about it but this kind of stuff melts my heart. See you for lunch- right?
Your such a nice mom! My mom dose not do that with me anymore, I wish she did it sounds like a lot of fun, waking in the morning to find or mom standing over you saying she was taking you (and only you) swimming! AHHH... sounds so fun!
